So regardless on whether you have single rank or dual rank, with 4 sticks you're going to struggle to hit above 4800-5200Mhz. Actually, 4 sticks can have a slightly better performance than 2 sticks. 4 sticks are always more stressful than 2 sticks, but nevertheless it is well within the threshold of what AM5 can do. 4 sticks makes it impossible to not fill both channels, but could introduce other problem as explained before. If I just install one stick in A1, A2 or B1 it will not boot. I've seen many different opinions on many different threads about how many ram sticks to have on an AM5 platform (i'm specifically looking at the 7800x3D). But I'm not sure I'd I'll get 3200 Mt/s if I all 4 dimm slots. Works great for me.
